Established in 2010, Asterisk began as a family-run handicraft company with a mission to empower marginalized communities in Nepal. We focus on providing employment opportunities to underprivileged groups, especially women and ethnic minorities, and supporting them with health care, education, and skill development.
Starting with a small team of family members and women artisans, Asterisk has grown to 600 employees, with 75% women. We also collaborate with two local producer groups to source high-quality felt and natural products. Our team represents diverse social, religious, and ethnic backgrounds from across Nepal.
